- Understand immigration regulations: Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the various work authorizations available to international students and how these regulations impact their employment opportunities in the United States.

Rachel Zhang, career coordinator for international students, University Career Center, University of Michigan, focuses on supporting international students in their career development. She facilitates workshops and provides one-on-one guidance to help students build career readiness and navigate the job-search process. Through collaboration with campus departments and student organizations, she develops resources and programs tailored to the unique needs of international students. Additionally, she contributes and leads campus-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing career support for the international student community.

Laure Bordas-Isner, International Student & Scholar Advisor, University of Michigan
Laure Bordas-Isner, international student and scholar advisor, International Center, University of Michigan, has been working in the field of international education for several years and has presented on various topics related to U.S. immigration and international education at regional and national conferences. She is the NAFSA Region V 2024 chair-elect, and the 2023 conference planner, a NAFSA Trainer Corps member, a member of NAFSA's ISS Regulatory Practice/Current issues working group, and one of the ISSS representatives on the MAIE (Michigan Association of International Educators) leadership team.
